Health & Safety Expectations

Injury, Illness & Safety

Safety and general well-being are important issues at ACC Leisure Services Summer Camps. Because summer camp is a vigorously energetic experience, the possibility of injury exists. This can range from major to minor cuts and abrasions to sprained joints, bee stings, broken bones, etc. With a large number of campers together, it is also possible that illnesses transfer from one person to another. These can range from the flu to a common cold, strep throat, and even chicken pox.

Should staff find that a camper has become sick with a highly contagious illness, that camper will be quarantined and, if deemed necessary, sent home. Please do not send your child to summer day camp if you know that he/she has an illness or infection of any kind.
