Flora & Fauna: Painting with Will Eskridge

Explore the natural world while learning secrets of color theory and hidden painting techniques. This class will concentrate on color mixing and the study of light and shadow. First we will spend time covering color theory, brush selection and usage, composition, and sketching. Next, we will learn a little about animal anatomy as well as color temperatures and values of the natural environment. Finally, we will reveal secret “eye popper” techniques to finish the painting.

Supplies needed:

Brushes: Recommended sizes: Flat bristle, size 24. Flat bristle, size 12. Pointed round sable, size 2

Fee: $98, ACC Resident, $147 non-ACC Resident

Registration: ACC residents may register starting Saturday, August 5 at 9:00 a.m. Non-residents may register beginning Monday, August 7 at noon.
